Senior Engineer/ Staff Engineer/Principal Engineer – Full Stack Development

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Utilize Eclipse Theia skills to customize the IDE for optimal developer experience.

• Develop extensions for VS Code and Eclipse Theia to enhance functionality and features.

• Implement IDE concepts such as editors, language servers, and language support.

• Work with frameworks including JSON-Schema, EMF, JSON-Formulare, EMF.cloud, Sprotty, and GLSP.

• Demonstrate strong proficiency in web development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and React.

• Participate in projects implementing Theia extensions, graphical modeling editors, and DSL based on GLSP.

Qualifications

Skills you’ll need:

• B.S. required (M.S. preferred) in computer engineering or computer science disciplines.

• 3+ years of experience in software development, software architecture, or software engineering management

• Strong proficiency in React and extensive experience in web development.

• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Eclipse Theia, Eclipse EMF Cloud, Sprotty, and Eclipse GLSP.

• Proven expertise in web development technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Node.js.

• Experience in IDE customization, including extension development for VS Code and Theia.

• Familiarity with IDE concepts such as editors, language servers, and language support.

• Proficient in frameworks such as JSON-Schema, EMF, JSON-Formulare, EMF.cloud, Sprotty, and GLSP.

• Previous involvement in projects implementing Theia extensions, graphical modeling editors, and DSL based on GLSP.

• Proficient in Python for scripting and automation

• Experience in agile CI/CD workflows (project maintenance in JIRA and Github using Jenkins workflows or similar technologies)

• Strong interpersonal skills; able to clearly articulate complex software topics and influence decisions based on sound engineering fundamentals

• Well organized with attention to detail, accuracy, and target audience

• Able to creatively problem-solve engineering and business challenges, many times concurrently
