Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Landscape Architect to join our team! In this role you will get to work in a young and dynamic team for the delivery of creative public realm architectural design of varying scales.

What you will be doing:

• Develop unique and creative landscape design method and solutions for public realm developments across the Middle East.

• Undertake project related tasks professionally and independently as directed by senior team members.

• Inspect sites, analyzing factors such as climate, soil, flora, fauna and all physical site conditions

• Consulting with clients and making recommendations regarding methods of work and sequences of operations for projects related to the landscape

• Work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Managing internal resources efficiently when required to achieve results within defined timeframes.

• Responsible and accountable for allocated tasks.

• Perform other related tasks as directed.

What skills you will bring:

• Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from an accredited University or College program. Equivalency certificate issued from Ministry of Education (UAE) is mandatory.

• Minimum 4-5 years of continuous experience in landscape architecture preferably in urban areas.

• Knowledge in design aesthetic and technical components of landscape architecture.

• An understanding of production techniques, procedures, and standards.

• Knowledge in industry codes/standards/health and safety requirements and sustainability regulations.

• An understanding of the regional construction industry, local construction methods and their influence on design decisions.

• Demonstrate a team oriented and collaborative approach to Landscape Architecture within the design team.

• Proficient technical skills and efficiencies in both standard and specialist computer programs such as Autocad, Revit, Sketchup, Rhino, Adobe Create Suite, Land FX, and MS office suite programs.

What Desired skills you will bring:

• Possess a strong commitment to quality control for design and technical issues.

• Possess strong communication skills with both internal and external parties.

• Fluency in English, verbal and written. Proficiency in other languages, especially Arabic, is highly regarded.

• A willingness to develop and further landscape architecture skills and techniques for the enhancement and efficiency of the team.

• Certification in CMLI / ASLA / ALIA is an advantage.
