About us:

Gold Care Homes is a leading care home provider responsible for 34 homes located throughout the UK. We are recruiting for the position of Clinical Quality Director to lead on the development, review and implementation of clinical systems, processes and strategy ensuring an effective framework of clinical governance is imbedded across the organisation.

To work effectively with all departments and have lead responsibility for ensuring all clinical services consistently meet with the requirements of, and where possible, exceeds ‘The fundamental standards for care' as determined by the Care Quality Commission, or subsequent incoming regulator.

Championing change in culture across the organisation promoting positive management and staff behaviors and high standards of practice

This is a board level position to influence, shape and re-design the quality framework for an expanding care organisation. This is a senior role and pivotal in driving forward our quality and clinical vision to deliver outstanding outcomes across our portfolio. Whilst building an inclusive culture around our corporate family values. Gold Care Homes is now looking for a Director of Care Quality and Governance.

Role Overview

• Provide visible leadership, strategic management and expert advice on best quality, safe, compliant care, regulation, and risk management.

• Ensure robust plans are in place to achieve a Good CQC rating with aspirations to achieve outstanding.

• Develop GCH's market position as a leader in dementia, elderly care, end of life and nursing care, whilst developing and maintaining the profile of Gold Care.

• Strategic leadership for ongoing review of our systems and processes.

• Develop a robust internal company audit strategy to bring it in line with CQC and other national frameworks and guidelines.

• Drive clinical excellence within clinical colleagues through on-going clinical competency assessments and trainings that are aligned with best evidence-based practice and NMC Code of Practice.

• Drive the delivery of a vision that encompasses improvements in quality and service-users experience and lifestyle through research, innovation, and coaching.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Registered nurse with active pin and degree in nursing

• Evidence of further professional development in relation to care management and quality.

• Senior Management experience in health and social care including experience in elderly and mental health care.

• In-depth knowledge of quality and clinical governance and best practice in health and social care

• Established incredible clinical leader able to effectively lead, influence, develop and able to inspire and motivate others.

• Thorough understanding of UK regulatory requirements (CQC) and experience of working with health and social care regulators

• Strong leadership skills directing change and improvement throughout the Organisation through influence monitoring and evaluation.

• Developing highly efficient quality and governance systems

• Specialist skills in working with older people, especially those living with dementia

• Used to working with a high level of autonomy.

• Problem resolution capability

• Experience in SIRO and ICO

• Experienced in prioritising and managing deadlines.

• Experience in developing and implementing quality frameworks.

Qualifications and Training:

• Possession of a relevant professional qualification such as NVQ 4 in health and social care OR Possession of a Management qualification e.g. DMS, MBA

• RGN qualified and hold a live NMC pin number.

• Full UK driving licence with flexibility to be able to travel around the UK as and when required.
