Demand Planner

Demand Planners play a key role in forecasting, analyzing market trends, and developing demand plans to ensure optimal inventory levels and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain demand forecasts based on historical shipment/order data, market trends, and input from Markets and Statistical forecast teams, applying advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Collaborate with Markets, Business Management and Product Marketing to understand market demand and sales projections. Monitor execution and financial targets, and adjust forecast based on business requirements (revenue, inventory) Analyze demand patterns, seasonality, and deals/promotional activities to accurately forecast future demand. Identify and communicate potential risks and opportunities in demand planning to management and stakeholders. Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute insights to support strategic decision-making and provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Help develop, analyze, and action key Demand Planning reports and KPIs. Continuously improve demand planning processes and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Contribute to Program Management of Demand Planning process improvement projects.

Education and Experience Required:

Typically 3-5 years work experience in business, supply chain management, operations, finance, or related functional area. University degree (B.A./B.S.) or demonstrable equivalent.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proven experience in demand planning, forecasting or supply chain related roles.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and trends effectively.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and demand planning software (e.g. SAP)

  • Ability to leverage new analytical techniques to develop creative approaches to business analysis.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

  • Strong business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting.
