HP Inc. Principal Product Manager in Spring, Texas

The Principal Product Manager will be responsible for guiding the success of a SaaS software product and leading the cross-functional team that is responsible for improving it. This individual will work closely with various teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. This role will focus on HP Workforce Experience Platform Developer Ecosystem, APIs, Integrations and Core Platform functionality.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy: Evaluate opportunities based on market research, competitive analysis, technology trends, and customer feedback to determine what gets delivered to customers.

  • Requirements Gathering: Form a deep knowledge of the users and customers for the product.

  • Roadmap Planning: Develop and maintain a product roadmap, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately and milestones are achieved.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, and other team members to deliver products on time and within budget.

  • Go-to-Market: Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to define go-to-market strategies, ensuring successful product launches and adoption.

  • Communication: Prepare and provide regular updates about program progress, issues, and risks to key stakeholders.

  • Feedback Loop: Establish feedback loops with customers and internal teams to continuously improve products based on feedback and performance metrics.

  • Performance Metrics: Monitor and analyze product performance metrics and make necessary adjustments to meet business objectives and emerging opportunities.

  • Plays a leadership role and drives the progress of the product management function.

  • Leads cross-functional teams through agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

  • Monitors competitive market to determine client needs for certain product improvements.

  • Strategically partners with key senior stakeholders to understand needs and priorities.

  • Recommends product requirements and definitions to align with stakeholder's needs.

  • Collaborates with the software engineering team on feature ideas and prototypes to bring potential solutions to life.

Education & Experience :

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

  • Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in product management, digital or software product development, or a related field.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Experience building software products in a SaaS environment.

  • Experience with integrations (as a product), developer ecosystems, APIs (as a product)

  • Experience discerning how to monetize products, price products and work with Go To Market Teams

  • Any experience marketing products will be helpful.

  • Understanding and experience with Agile development

  • Understanding of ITIL and ITSM
