As the Senior Engineer, you will oversee the daily commissioning of production vehicles and software flashing of vehicle control modules. You will need to be familiar with flashing tools that interface with the vehicle systems and their use with software platforms used on the vehicle. This position will report to the Principle Engineer – Vehicle Software Commissioning.

YOUR IMPACT:

  • Responsible for the oversight of production vehicle commissioning and software flashing processes of the NGDV Assembly department.

  • This will include software flashing and commissioning in the Wheel Alignment, ADAS, Rolls test and Final test systems and processes.

  • Development and implementation of process concepts and design specification implementation.

  • Engineering tools setup and processes. Including work instruction development and changes.

  • Oversight and maintenance to the software database and its interface with the MES/BOM system.

  • Supporting the production commissioning and flashing processes and equipment.

  • Maintenance and oversight of flashing tools and systems performance and availability.

  • Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and external customers, and outside resources concerning technical subject matter.

  • Responsible for leading commissioning engineers and flashing personnel in their duties and processes

  • Responsible for the training of flashing personnel in flashing processes and use of flashing tools.

  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Accredited Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with three (3) or more years of related experience.

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Accredited Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Engineering.

  • Experience with Bosch and Roush vehicle software and flashing tools.
