Durr Systems, Inc. Technical Project Manager (Job Code: 1006) in Southfield, Michigan

Responsible for technical coordination and decisions regarding technical issues in collaboration with the Senior Project Manager and the specialist departments; lead all technical personnel for assigned client projects; control projects to achieve minimal manufacturing costs and schedule targets; act as general contact person regarding technique, quality, and target dates of a project; responsible for technical communication with the customer; responsible for the technical clarification of the project with the customer, in collaboration with the engineering areas; Lead Project Execution teams, including Installation Planning, Project Leader PLs, Schedule Management/Project Controlling, and Site Manager SM; coordinate with the Product Leaders (PLs) necessary to establish overall basis data for clarification, including process list and color concept; utilize Project Management, Layout Design Management, MS Project, MS Visio, FMEA studies, SAP, AutoCAD, and Microstation to perform duties; coordinate schedule planning in collaboration with the Project Manager (PM) and Contract Planner (CP); responsible for bid pack awarding and purchase completion, together with PLs; coordinate the awarding of packages for fire protection and steel work in collaboration with Engineering; coordinate superior scopes and interfaces between customer, Project Responsible, BUs/Divisions, and suppliers; organize Punch Point Management in collaboration with the Senior Project Manager (SPM) and SM; and prepare Additional/Reduced Costs for implementation with Project Management/Sales.

 

Location: Southfield, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the US;

 

Salary: $155,000 per year;

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);

 

Experience: Two (2) years in the position above, as a Commissioning Engineer, as an Operations Manager, or in a related occupation;
