Amazon Marketing Manager, Amazon Private Brands in Seattle, Washington

Worldwide Amazon Private Brands (APB) builds great brands and products that customers love and trust (e.g. Amazon Basics and Amazon Essentials), while driving incremental long-term benefit for Amazon. APB seeks to become the preferred selection for our customers due to the wide offer across different categories of high-quality products at everyday low prices.

We are looking for a Marketing Manager for Site Merchandising on the APB WW Events team that is in charge of the driving APB global vision and execution of High Velocity Events (HVEs) and Seasonal Events for our customers such as Back to School, Prime Day, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday! We work across our US and global partners to deliver exciting offers & deals, a personalized shopping experience, and all-around excitement during the biggest shopping days of the year, helping make Amazon events more attractive to customers.

The candidate will be responsible for designing and executing best-in-class marketing plans to improve customer click through rates for Amazon Private Brands (APB) onsite campaigns. In addition, they will identify new opportunities to feature private brands onsite, and develop an experimentation roadmap to fuel step change level growth during event time periods. This role determines what selection to highlight during HVEs and seasonal events, and how to merchandise the product in a way that’s compelling to customers. They will work in sync with central marketing POCs to develop editorial creative, negotiate placements, and identify new ways to market APB onsite. They will also act as the voice of the private brands customer and challenge the status quo by identifying, testing, prioritizing and scaling any incremental marketing levers to engage customers where they are, following Business and Industry trends to ensure we’re featuring the right selection, at the right time.

Key job responsibilities

  • Leading the strategy, development, and delivery of Amazon Private Brands marketing events, including driving traffic to deals, and seasonal events participation.

  • Using analytical insights to create actionable strategies that will help increase teams effectiveness against marketing goals.

  • Providing insights to drive an informed marketing strategy based on key metrics, historical data, and trend reporting.

  • Flawlessly executing marketing campaigns, running A/B tests to optimize creative and campaign targeting.

  • Owning reporting of key marketing metrics to the leadership team and broader organization, including customer acquisition and retention.

  • Earning trust and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholder teams to drive program support.

A day in the life

The ideal candidate will play a critical role in bringing APB products to our customers. In this role you will lead marketing APB strategies supporting events and work with cross-functional teams to create original content for onsite placements to drive awareness and engagement of high-traffic and seasonal events. An ideal candidate will bring a track record of creating, managing, and optimizing large cross-channel marketing initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of product management experience

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • Experience in product, program, or project management in leading cross-functional teams in delivery of major new products or services

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SQL and VBA at an advanced level

  • Experience building and analyzing cost/benefit scenarios and business cases and communicating results throughout the organization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $93,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
