Position Summary:

The Sr. Director of Operations plans, directs, coordinates, and oversees all aspects of Mammotome Global Operations ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization. Span of control includes global Supply Chain and Logistics, Manufacturing, Contract Manufacturing, Supplier Management, Facilities/Safety, PPV/VAVE, Global Service Operations and Global Distribution.

This position will lead the Global Manufacturing and Supply Chain organization located in Tijuana, Mexico and will be onsite.

In this role, you will have the importunity to:

  • Establishes, implements, and communicates the strategic direction of the Mammotome manufacturing and operations functions.

  • Collaborates with the senior leadership and President of the OpCo to develop and meet company financial goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems.

  • Creates and monitors Ops-level Policy Deployment (top priority strategic initiatives) by identifying plant operations breakthroughs, implementing change through the use of comprehensive action plans and aligning resources to achieve targeted KPIs across the operations including for Safety, On-Time Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity (Labor and Material).

  • Establishes and maintains the global supply chain capabilities and relationships needed to ensure effective Inventory Planning/Management, Warehousing, Product Distribution/3PL Management on a global basis.

  • Establishes and maintains internal manufacturing capabilities and external contract manufacturing relationships needed to produce and/or source products that meet all quality, service and cost requirements.

  • Responsible for the strategic relationships with suppliers and contract manufacturers, procurement, and cost reduction of both direct and indirect materials.

  • Establishes a culture of integrity and innovation and leads through the Danaher Business System (DBS), implementing Lean, visual management and daily management across all reporting functions while driving a culture of continuous improvement where DBS is leveraged to drive to root cause and stimulate new and improved processes to better all aspects of Operations.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • BA/BS degree, or equivalent relevant experience, required; MA/MS degree, or equivalent relevant experience, preferred

  • APICS or ISM certification desired, or equivalent Danaher-specific experience

  • Lean/Six Sigma experience; true love of continuous improvement, measuring results and problem solving

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to gain followership and drive results

  • Ability to assess talent, inspire high performing individuals, develop associates, and make strategic personnel changes when necessary.

  • Ability to drive multiple projects simultaneously across numerous time zones, while ensuring quality and delivery targets are met

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Diagnostics and/or Medical Device Industry; understanding of the complexities of working in an industry where compliance to regulation is a must

  • Leading teams and driving change in a global matrixed organization

The salary range for this role is 225,000 – 245,000 USD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
