Responsibilities

The Senior Technology Specialist is specifically focused on supporting recovery architecture, implementation, strategy development, recovery plan development, recovery plan validation exercises, and data analysis supporting risk identification. Require a rounded individual with technology expertise and project / initiative management capabilities who wants to remain technology focused but who will serve more as a troubleshooter, architect, and liaison to multiple technical teams. Requires excellent critical thinking, communications, and interpersonal skills.

Provide technical knowledge, consulting, and guidance to support the development / execution of technology recovery / resiliency strategies, recovery plans, plan maintenance, and recovery exercises in support of project / area leads for targeted activities. Lead initiatives or serve as the technology resilient / recovery subject matter expert on recovery / resiliency initiatives. Perform data analysis / correlation and reporting to support issue or risk analysis and / or data reconciliation in support of recovery / resiliency activities. Perform project / initiative planning, coordination, and reporting for recovery resiliency / recovery initiatives.

Provide a recovery / resiliency technology lead role in the design and execution of business / clinical application systems and / or infrastructure solutions. Responsibilities could include but not be limited to the following:

  • Developing goals, objectives, and timelines to support technology recovery / resiliency efforts.

  • Developing relationships with partnerships to understand business / technology objectives, architectures, and to define recovery / resiliency requirements

  • Evaluating the recovery / resiliency aspects of leading edge technologies and use this information to significantly influence evolving strategies or future implementations.

  • Analyze complex business / technology issues and discerns the implications for recovery / resiliency.

  • Designing, directing, and performing analyses to resolve complex first-time project issues, including analysis of the technical, functional regulatory, audit, and other proposed system solutions.

  • Designing projects with broad implication for the business and/or the future architecture, successfully addressing cross-technology and cross-platform issues.

  • Balancing and negotiating the needs of multiple partners / users and communicate the business advantages of various technical solutions.

  • Managing internal and external customer expectations and ensure prompt and complete customer service.

  • Customizing presentations to the interests of the audience and aligned to the message required.

  • Developing high-level expert understanding of application architectures, recovery / resiliency strategies, and in-depth knowledge of leading edge technologies to create recovery / resiliency plans for future technology use.

Requirements

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred.

Additional Preferences

  • A strong IT technology background as well as application architecture understanding, including networks, servers, storage, backups, database management systems, load balancers, cloud services, etc.

  • Knowledge of clinical systems architecture. Ascension Technologies experience preferred.
