The Opportunity

Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Project Specialist to join our team. The Project Specialist will be responsible for the daily management and administration of assigned programs and contracts.

Additionally, the Project Specialist will:

  • Proposal development and writing including delivery schedules, terms & conditions, FAR/DFAR and commercial contract clauses, project management execution, cost/schedule management.
  • Negotiation involvement with the proposals as well as managing successful and timely delivery and financial performance of contracts.
  • Coordinate communications with customers and all involved parties in a timely manner to ensure all contractual, customer and Williams International needs are met.
  • Monitor company performance under contract while working closely with operations, functional engineering and manufacturing resources to identify and resolve performance issues and act as a liaison within the company and with customers to negotiate program scope and change activity.
  • Working with a small team under the guidance of a program manager for the assigned costumer and product model.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain or Project Management.
  • Work involves practical job knowledge and skill gained with at least five years of project management experience. 
  • Excellent writing, presentation and verbal communication techniques are necessary.
  • Program, project or US Government contract management experience will be very useful.
  • Must be capable of working in a fast paced and pressure filled environment and have the ability to function effectively in a team setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • PMP Certification is desired.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.  Candidates selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
