Willis Mechanical Inc HVAC Service Dispatcher in Norcross, Georgia

Summary/Objective

Willis Mechanical’s Service dispatchers are reliable and act as a communication point for emergency and non-emergency calls. They are responsible for professionally receiving incoming HVAC/R and Plumbing service calls, dispatching service technicians for these calls, and supporting Willis Mechanical's customers. Service dispatchers also schedule and dispatch for our preventive maintenance customers and support our technicians. Our service dispatchers prepare invoice proofs for time and material work orders and present them for review and processing. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, is able to remain calm and composed, and can multi-task and take appropriate action with little supervision. In this role, you will develop long-term relationships with our customers, technicians, and employees.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and manage service customer calls

  • Coordinate the assignment of service technicians to scheduled work orders and emergency service calls based on the expected complexity of the call and the strengths of the available technician

  • Address issues and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions.

  • Track and update the computerized dispatch board

  • Manage equipment, special tools, vehicles, and parts needs for the service department.

  • Work with other department managers and employees in support of the company goals, as well as all other facets of the service department

  • Perform the necessary administrative records and controls to protect the interest of the company and the customer, including prompt and accurate invoicing.

  • Resolve customer concerns in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

  • Maximize the efficient use and allocation of the technician's time.

  • Complete special projects as assigned.
