The goal of Cloud Growth and Insights(CGI) team is to foster a data-driven culture, to encourage and enable the azure customers and partners to make more informed decisions through data. As part of that work, team develops and operationalizes the high scale data platform that enables microsoft customers to realize and manage cloud costs and partner teams to operationalize their goals. As the volume of data-and the demand for solutions-grows, we need a strong and experienced leader who can architect and drive skilled engineering team to deliver and manage data solutions.

As a Senior Software Engineer on our team we are looking for someone who can help build extensible service platform that processes the terabytes of data per hour and enable cost management experiences and underlying data and infrastructure capabilities across multiple clouds/tenants.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain reliable and scalable big data platform and Storage solutions at large scale, and support sub second query response.

• Is obsessed about the Customer to influence product design, development and delivery of features to the customers.

• Influence and Collaborate across teams to bring best practices, architectures, standards, and methods for large-scale distributed systems, throughout the development cycles.

• Design, write and deliver software to optimize all aspects of deployments (Resources/Applications) ‘infrastructure-as-code’.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications :

• 8+ years’ solid product development and shipping experience

• 3+ years’ experience with Big Data or Stream-processing platform

• Great Coding and design skills (C#, Java, Scala, SQL, Hadoop, Spark); Experience in Spark, PySpark, Scala is preferred

• Ability to deal with the ambiguity associated with working in a fast-paced and changing environment with attention to details and the drive for results.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, OR equivalent industry experience.
