Description & Qualifications

Description

8+ years of experience in payroll operations with a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.

Manages and leads the payroll team with the goal of implementing best practices and building a world-class organization.

Have a thorough understanding of internal controls as they relate to payroll functions.

Mentoring people, monitoring processes, and ensuring technology is leveraged to exceed customer SLAs.

Should be able to get the deliverables met by the team at the expected level or more.

Should be able to review and finalize the RCA, ensuring occurrence is controlled and improvement is displayed.

Excellent understanding of end-to-end US payroll processes

Manages and leads the payroll team with the goal of implementing best practices and building a world-class organization.

Must have the ability to manage difficult customer communications and the ability to build strong working relationships both internally and externally.

Ensures timely and accurate monthly reporting information is sent to appropriate departments.

To assist and encourage team members to submit process innovation ideas as per the assigned goals, ensure team members submit at least one process improvement idea per quarter.

Responsible for hiring, training, development, and all people-related aspects of leading a high-performing team.

Conduct one-on-one meetings with the team, provide coaching, and provide performance reviews.

Ability to multi-task and effectively deal with projects as well as tactical operational details.

Able to help others navigate through difficult situations.

Ability to work with individuals, groups, and teams to identify issues and solve problems.

Develops, implements, and maintains systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines.

Strong judgment with the ability to multi-task and effectively deal with projects as well as tactical and operational details

Outstanding people/team management and communication skills

Make the necessary adjustments to keep the team engaged and/or look into the cause of the team's (or a single team member's) decline in motivation.

Establish and maintain exceptional business relationships with internal stakeholders while working collaboratively.

To ensure all KPI Targets are met for the team

Generate operational metrics to communicate and manage the performance of the team

Maintain regular contact with stakeholders to solicit feedback and identify potential areas for growth.

Qualifications

'Overall, 8 to 12 years of work experience, of which the last 5 years were in US payroll or HCM,

3 + years of management experience leading a team

Excellent understanding of handling end-to-end US payroll processes.

Experience in handling at least 5-8 team members

Team handling experience, project implementation, extensive general USA payroll and UKG Pro knowledge

Advanced knowledge using the Microsoft Office Suite

Experience with UKGPro is an added advantage

FPC certification is preferred.
