JPMorgan Chase Associate Portfolio Manager in New York, New York

As an Associate Portfolio Manager within the Asset Management Derivatives team, you will be a valued team member assisting portfolio managers with the implementation and analysis of various equity derivative based strategies.

Job Responsibilities

-Responsible for implementing equity derivative based strategies by monitoring cash flows, generating orders, communicating with trading teams, and monitoring portfolios across various strategies.

-Provide analysis of portfolio positioning and key risk metrics

-Communicate effectively on investment performance, positioning, and investment views to internal and external stakeholders. -Actively represent the platform's philosophy & process.

-Ensure the consistent application of investment insights across portfolios for the successful and smooth implementation of the investment content in portfolios.

-Work cross functionally to increase efficiencies and improve tools and processes.

-Work with broader global PM team in portfolio construction discussions and team strategy meetings.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

-Minimum 3+ years of work experience within equity derivatives portfolio management, investment specialist, or investment process support.

-Strong aptitude to identify and minimize investment, operational, and business risk.

-Experience working with derivatives middle office, product management and technology.

-Experience and/or awareness of market, credit, and liquidity risk aspects of derivatives instruments.

-Strong work ethic, detail oriented, eagerness to learn and take initiative.

-Excellent decision making and problem solving skills, requiring only limited guidance and oversight.

-Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact comfortably with clients and internal stakeholders.

-Strong aptitude in desktop technology/productivity tools such as Excel, VBA, Python, or other coding.

-Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative work environment.

-Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

-Experience with portfolio management tools such as InvestorTools, Perform, Bloomberg, OnBase, Spectrum, and Aladdin.

-Experience managing or working with Separately Managed Accounts.

-Experience trading derivatives or managing derivatives-based strategies.

-Post graduate degree or CFA designation.

Base Pay/Salary

New York,NY:$142,500.00 - $215,000.00 / year
