Job Summary
As a Private Wealth Alternatives (PWA) Client Account Manager you will focus on client relations for registered and private products across alternative asset classes within North America. You will bring deep knowledge of registered and private funds' administration, onboarding, and platform operational processes to support private banks, wirehouses, RIAs and independent broker/dealers. You will deliver strong relationships across third party service providers (such as Digital vendors, transfer agents and administrators) and their counterparts at our platform partners. As an account manager you will support Wealth Management Client Advisors and their clients within their respective territories, as well as liaise frequently with the finance, investment, product, and legal/compliance teams of each of the relevant businesses at JP Morgan Asset Management.
Job responsibilities
Field inquiries from Financial Advisors, HNW Investors & internal stakeholders regarding JPM's Alternative investment offerings
Support operational onboarding and implementation of JPM products on platforms (private banks, wirehouses, RIAs, custodians, third party providers)
Develop strong understanding of distribution partners' operational platforms and processes
Coordinate with internal JPM teams and third parties for client inquiries, problem resolution and reconciliation
Participate in client meetings and events as appropriate (including due diligence meetings)
Work with legal and compliance to ensure adherence to key regulatory requirements and periodic filings such as prospectus supplements
Assist in ad hoc projects / research to support PWA business initiatives
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Minimum of 5 years' experience in Asset Management in a client facing role with a background in Investor Relations/Client Services and a focus on Wealth Management distribution of Alternative products
Knowledge of financial markets, alternatives investment vehicles (Non-Traded REITS, Tender Offer Funds, BDCs, interval funds, private funds, etc.)
Ability to develop strong client and internal relationships and an in-depth understanding of intermediary servicing needs
Experience with onboarding & management of digital distribution/technology platforms and custodian relationships
Ability to effectively execute under pressure within a fast-paced environment and multi-task and manage complex assignments
Bachelor's degree required
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Advanced degrees, other financial qualifications and licenses a plus (e.g., CFA)
French, Spanish or Portuguese language knowledge is preferred
FINRA Series 7 (preferred but not required)
