Account Executive, Programmatic Sales

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Account Executive, Programmatic Sales for our programmatic sales team to align key company priorities with growing market needs.

This role will help the department continue to grow revenue and relationships quarter over quarter in 2024 and beyond. Our fast-paced sales team is on a mission to exceed sales goals and continues to be a high-growth area for our company. Reporting into the programmatic sales lead, you will work with the national sales team and the planning team to continue to build upon the strong foundation being built at the NY Post Digital Network.

Responsibilities:

  • As a subject matter expert, lead programmatic sales efforts for the New York Post Digital Network, driving and supporting PMP and PG sales initiatives

  • Develop and own relationships with programmatic buyers in assigned territory, agencies, DSPs and in-house programmatic marketers

  • Partner with the national sales team to expand the overall private marketplace business, providing support for programmatic RFP responses, client calls, and delivering insights and analysis as needed

  • Identify opportunities in the open exchanges to convert into PMP/PG campaigns

  • Collaborate with the advertising operations team to guarantee the successful delivery of programmatic PMP campaigns, troubleshoot any challenges that arise, and proactively devise strategies to enhance revenue through deal optimization

  • Understand how to leverage all programmatic strategies and platforms, including, but not limited to, the use of 1st party data and data clean room solutions

  • Work closely with Post Studios, our in house creative studio, on all outbound programmatic marketing material including client presentations

Requirements:

  • BA/BS preferred

  • 3+ years of sales experience from one of the following: ad agency, agency trading desk, SSP, DSP or publisher

  • Client/agency facing experience

  • Book of business with contacts and relationships within the advertising industry highly preferred

  • Proven track record of consistently delivering against sales targets

  • Knowledge of SSP interfaces a plus

  • Willing to travel as needed

  • Ability to work cross functionally with other internal teams

  • Excellent communicator with proven ability to lead client presentations

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Positive attitude and a good sense of humor

Note: The NY Post adheres to a hybrid work model.

Base Salary Range: $70,000 – $100,000

*The salary range listed above reflects base salary. This role is also bonus eligible.

Accordingly, offers extended for this role will include an annual bonus target. Similarly to salary, set annual incentive bonus targets are based on a variety of factors including competitive market practice, experience, tenure, and essential skills.
