Loss Prevention Services LLC Lead .NET Software Engineer (Azure) in Natchez, Mississippi

The Lead .NET Software Engineer (Azure) is critical to Loss Prevention Services, LLC's exciting progress in furthering their position as the technology leader in the Repossession industry. Loss Prevention Services, LLC has developed a modern, cloud-native, event-based design application to automate it's business processes. The person in this role will lead, design, modify, develop, and implement software programming applications and components. They will provide technical leadership to a team of developers eager to move into this new technology, building state-of-the-art, cloud native applications in Microsoft Azure. The role works from written specifications and pre-established guidelines while maintaining documentation of process flow that power Loss Prevention Services, LLC's repossession businesses.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Performs as technical lead for development projects
  • Defines best practices for development, test, and code management
  • Utilizes established development tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to Visual Studio, .Net Core, Azure SQL, AngularJS, C#, Azure API Management, Azure Data Factory, Azure Key Vault, Azure Functions, Azure Managed Identities, and Azure DevOps
  • Designs, codes, tests, and documents applications, web APIs and underlying services
  • Defines and enhances application frameworks and supporting technical documents
  • Creates and delivers data-driven applications and reports using Azure tools
  • Enhances existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing action plans and identifying areas for modification and improvement
  • Maintains existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects
  • Provides technical guidance to the development team in cloud-native development and technologies
  • Creates solution designs and technical designs and unit test plans
  • Participates in peer reviews and walkthroughs
  • Plans and implements every process step as defined in methodologies
  • Anticipates problems and analyze ways to mitigate the risk
  • Maintains current professional and technical skills
  • Keeps abreast of current and emerging technologies, and assesses how they integrate and drive value for Loss Prevention Services, LLC
  • Directs the development team in the design, development, coding, testing and debugging of applications
  • Writes testable, scalable and efficient code and leading code reviews
  • Mentors junior team members and ensuring they adhere to determined software quality standards
  • This position will perform other duties as assigned based on the needs of the department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Systems, or equivalent field
  • 7+ years in software design/development, with experience in the following areas:
  • Relational databases such as SQL
  • Azure Cloud native development
  • Azure Functions
  • Event Driven Architecture
  • Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus & Event Grid Domain
  • Build APIs using .Net Core 3.1 or later
  • Angular version 12 or later, preferably 14 for front end
  • Azure Data Factory
  • Azure SQL 2019
  • Microservices in Azure (AKS)
  • Azure DevOps (CI/CD)
  • Azure API Manager (now named Front Door)
  • Performance tuning
  • Data protection
  • Experience leading engineering teams on backend services and/or systems development
  • Expert knowledge of .Net Core, Azure SQL, AngularJS, C#.
  • Detailed oriented, quick learner, self-starter
  • Ability to independently manage multiple concurrent assignments

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Masters Degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Systems, or equivalent field.
