The DevOps Architect for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for solving complex and unique challenges with forward-looking architectures and automated processes in a collaborative agile environment for laboratory medical devices and new product development.

This position is part of R&D Software in Miami, FL, and will be an onsite position. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be an active and integral member of the R&D Software Development team and responsible for building and maintaining infrastructure, tools, solutions and microservices associated with our deployment and software applications in a fully automated, cloud-based environment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work across multiple agile teams to design, develop, test, deploy, and support a wide range of software applications with a focus on deployment automation and cloud infrastructure

  • Drive improvements to automated deployment solutions, and proactively monitor the solutions across products and environments

  • Maintain a security-first mindset that is crucial throughout our team, watch for security vulnerabilities and resolve appropriately to keep our systems secure

  • Secure, scale, and manage Linux virtual environments and OS images

  • Build and deploy software on the computers via media (USB and/or DVD) and via OTA

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or closely related field

  • 12+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud infrastructure including Container Registry, Kubernetes Service, App Services, Application Gateway

  • Experience with software engineering Azure pipelines and releases

  • Experience setting up and maintaining automated code quality tools and systems

  • Skills in strategic thinking, problem-solving attitude, good planning, and time management

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience in Bicep or Terraform and OpenID Connect (OIDC)

  • Experience in medical device design & development is a plus

  • Ability to work well with people and be both highly motivated and motivating
