Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the machinery manufacturing industry, based in Merced, California. The role is an Accounting Clerk, where you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and data entry tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Perform accounts payable tasks, such as invoice processing, payment processing, and vendor account reconciliation.

• Handle accounts receivable data entry, including posting customer payments and reconciling customer accounts.

• Process bill payments accurately and in a timely manner.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure accuracy and efficiency in accounting processes.

• Assist with other accounting duties and projects as assigned.

• Maintain customer credit records and monitor customer credit accounts.

• Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently. Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management.

• Demonstrated experience in data entry.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

• Familiarity with machinery manufacturing industry is a plus.

• Ability to maintain financial confidentiality and conduct business with professional ethics.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with multiple departments.

• Organizational skills to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a timely manner.

• Attention to detail for accurate data entry and reporting.

• Ability to work independently and take initiative in problem-solving.

• Minimum of a high school diploma; further education or certification in Accounting or a related field is a plus.
