Robert Half Payroll Administrator in Logansport, Indiana

Description We are seeking a Payroll Administrator based in Logansport, Indiana, United States. This role involves managing payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and providing support for light HR duties. This role is integral to maintaining our team's efficiency and productivity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and timely process payroll for all employees using payroll software.

• Calculate salaries, deductions, and withholdings while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

• Review timesheets to resolve any discrepancies or issues with employees or supervisors.

• Handle payroll inquiries and provide support to employees regarding pay-related matters.

• Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and payments to federal, state, and local agencies.

• Stay updated on changes to payroll tax laws and regulations and ensure compliance.

• Assist with HR-related tasks such as employee onboarding, offboarding, and maintaining personnel records.

• Process changes to employee information, including updates to personal data, job titles, and compensation.

• Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.

• Generate payroll reports for management and finance teams as needed.

• Maintain accurate records of employee information, payroll transactions, and HR-related documentation. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a payroll administration role

• Proficiency in payroll software systems

• Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations

• Excellent numerical and analytical skills

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Understanding of general principles of accounting

• Experience with payroll processing and payroll tax filings

• Willingness to stay updated on new payroll laws and regulations.
