Human Resources Generalist Job Overview: The Human Resources Generalist serves as the first HR point of contact for assigned Conservation Attraction location employees with the Johnny Morris Foundation. As an employees dedicated HR representative, the Generalist will support employee relations, payroll administration, benefit administration, performance management, compliance, record-keeping, training and development. This position will be located at Lampe, MO with occasional travel to Ridgedale, MO or Springfield, MO. Primary Functions Employee Relations:

  • Serves as the first HR point of contact to provide guidance and support to employees.
  • Coaches and advises employees about HR programs, practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Assists employees with training and usage of HRIS platforms and troubleshoots issues.
  • Assists in resolving questions/issues/conflicts where possible and refers/redirects employees to appropriate
  • individual or department when needed.
  • Participates in planning HR and property specific Activities Committee events.
  • Provides regular feedback to HRM on employee-related concerns.

Payroll Administration:

  • Partners with HRM to assist with biweekly payroll processing.
  • Assists staff with basic/common payroll questions, escalates to HRM for complex questions/issues.
  • Support managers with time and attendance issues.
  • Performs payroll audits to ensure accuracy and runs payroll and compensation reports as requested.
  • Assists with W2 preparation and reporting.

Benefits Administration:

  • Partners with HRM to ensure consistency with the Total Rewards program.
  • Partners with HR Team to provide regular feedback and suggestions on how benefit plans could be improved.
  • Supports employees in new hire enrollment, open enrollment, and mid-year qualifying event changes.
  • Performs monthly audits of benefit invoices, coverages, errors, and other items as requested by HRM and/or HRD.
  • Assists with ACA, FMLA, and carrier reporting as assigned.

Performance Management:

  • Creates and distributes a monthly department dashboard view for managers.
  • Partners with managers to assist in monitoring employee performance, exceptions, and annual reviews.
  • Partners with HRM if a department manager has indicated the need for performance escalation.
  • Encourages managers to provide regular and consistent feedback to employees.
  • Conducts Stay and Exit Interviews for all employees and utilizes data to further enhance the workplace.

Compliance:

Assists in ensuring all applicable employment laws and regulations are maintained.
