Tompkins Community Bank Quality Assurance Analyst (Central New York) in Ithaca, New York
Overview
Responsible for performing a variety of duties including testing, revising and implementing new products, procedures and programs within Residential Lending. Work with management to develop and implement a quality control strategy with standards that can be measured and monitored for quality assurance.
Responsibilities
Test, debug, and assist with the implementation of new products, procedures or programs.
Collaborate with mortgage leadership to develop and execute QA strategy including manual and automation processes and integration of same into procedures.
Perform testing on processes, procedures and software to assure operational functionality to meet business needs.
Monitor, measure, and report on department issues, opportunities, plans, and achievements within agreed formats and timescales.
Review and audit changes required by Compliance/audit department.
Facilitate timely account balancing and accounts payable performance.
Facilitate third party QC reviews and responses including reporting results to mortgage management and proposing training needs or program/process changes based on results.
Facilitate third party Credit Fraud program including reporting results to mortgage management and proposing training needs or program/process changes.
Facilitate 4506T submissions at application and review with loan file prior to closing as needed.
Design and implement reports and procedures.
Collaborate with the Mortgage Compliance position to assure mortgage area meets required compliance and QA/QC standards.
Be department's representative on special projects.
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
An Associate’s degree in math, economics or finance required or equivalent in related work experience.
Specialized training in math, financial lending concepts and analytical processes is desired preferred.
Five (5) years’ of mortgage/bank experience with 2-3 years’ experience in quality control and assurance.
Must have a demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining a high level of commitment to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to influence others to meet quality standards.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to present findings; propose solutions for improvements and write policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Pay Range
USD $29.00 - USD $35.00 /Hr.
