What you’ll do:

We are looking for Lead Engineer in Eaton’s Aerospace business who is Passionate to work in Test Lab environment with LabVIEW expertise. The Lead engineer is expected to be from Design and Development Domain with LabVIEW software architect Expertise with strong knowledge of NI TestStand and VeriStand programming. The primary responsibility of this role is to Verify and Validate the airborne software products complete with respect to DO178B/ C, DO254 DAL Level A/B/C/D/E testing conforming to required standards as per FAA /EASA and to customer specific requirements.

a. Lead multiple large scale projects while working with global teams.

b. Strong experience in designing and developing Test Automation Frameworks for large applications using NI LabVIEW, TestStand and NI Veristand. Expert in Design and development of advance LabVIEW architecture design patterns for HIL.

c. Lead the software Design, Verification and Validation efforts by working with Aerospace product team and others, contributing to the architecture, design, and implementation of world class, high-performance LabVIEW software applications.

d. Evaluate business requirements to determine potential solutions

e. Work directly with stakeholders, engineering, and test to create high quality products that solve customer problems.

f. Propose and provide innovative, competitive technical solutions which can make significant business impact and provide value to stakeholders

g. Hands on experience of Communication protocols – Aerospace Arinc429, Arinc825, CAN, Serial RS232, RS485, Modbus, TCPIP, UDP, SPI, I2C, CAN is must.

h. Strong experience of working in Object oriented LabVIEW Concepts and Simulink Model Integration in NI platform.

i. Certificate from National Instruments (CLD) and ISTQB is desirable.

j. Provide work estimates and conduct design, implementation, and code reviews

k. Continuously develop and enhance the technical capabilities of the teams to provide best in class design solutions in line with present and future business needs. Provide timely status and reports to stakeholders.

l. Work with Development team to ensure adequate and appropriate test case coverage; investigate, debug and fix bugs

m. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the value proposition and quality of the engineering deliverables.

n. Interview and provide technical assessments of potential engineer hires

o. Coach and mentor team members, assisting them in technical and process areas

p. Drive culture of innovation with focus on new patent and high-impact ideas.

q. Creates, and sustains process for design standards and procedures governing product design verification and Validation methods and documents.

r. Experience in White box, Black box, Integration Testing, System Testing – Writing and executing test cases, Knowledge of LabVIEW software design methods, Use of a problem reporting tool, Experience with hardware / software integration.

Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation/Computer Science

Desired: Master’s degree in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation/Computer Science

10+ years of experience in design, development, coding and testing using NI LabVIEW, NI RT, NI FPGA, NI TestStand and NI VeriStand.

Skills:

• Hands on experience with NI Compact RIO, cDAQ and PXI modules.

• Strong experience in designing and developing Test Automation Frameworks for large applications using NI LabVIEW.

• Expert in Design and development of advance LabVIEW architecture design patterns.

• Strong knowledge of NI VeriStand and TestStand is must.

• Hands on experience of Communication protocols – Aerospace Arinc429, Arinc825, CAN, Serial RS232, RS485, Modbus, TCPIP, UDP, SPI, I2C, CAN tools is must.

• Strong experience of working in Object oriented LabVIEW Concepts and Simulink Model Integration in NI platform.

• Develop modules/drivers including debugging and testing, Hands on experience in creating simulators, Strong knowledge of databases like MySQL and MSSQL.

• Certificate from National Instruments (CLD) and ISTQB is desirable.

• Experience in White box, Black box, Integration Testing, System Testing – Writing and executing test cases, Knowledge of LabVIEW software design methods, Use of a problem reporting tool, Experience with hardware / software integration.
