ASRC Federal Holding Company Solution Architect, Business Development in Remote,

ASRC Federal is seeking a Business Development Solution Architect to support our company's business development activities in the federal government contracting environment. This is a full-time position that reports directly to the CTO organization performing primarily remote work with occasional travel to customer sites and events.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be primarily providing direct support to several concurrent business development opportunities by performing a multitude of tasks, including:

Lead Technologist for Portfolio of Customer Accounts

  • Establish deep understanding of customer technology landscape and goals.

  • Build reusable solutioning artifacts specific to customer domain spaces.

  • Research and document customer technology modernization strategy.

  • Monitor and coordinate the technical solutions and technical approaches to all business development opportunities within a portfolio of customers.

Solutioning Support for Business Development

  • Describing technical capabilities and performance that inform the customer in a written format.

  • Assessing company capability strengths and weaknesses relative to a defined statement of work.

  • Participating in customer and domain research to inform a solution.

  • Developing modern, innovative, high-quality, and scalable solutions to perform the statement of work in terms of people, processes, and tools/technologies.

  • Describing the solution technical approach in writing within a proposal.

  • Identifying and organizing subject matter experts to assist with articulating a technical approach in writing.

  • Participating in oral representations of the technical approach to potential customers.

  • Identify, engage, and coordinate technical resources to support technical solutions development.

  • Pre-sales engineering support for new and emerging customers.

  • Collaborate with customers, business development, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to determine the best value personnel and technologies to address business problems.

  • Identify potential risks and dependencies that could impact program execution.

  • Ensure solutions and approaches meet security and compliance requirements.

  • Contribute to Research and Development efforts to build compelling, differentiating, technologies.

  • Represent and advocate for the company in different forums, conferences, and industry events.

This is the right position for a Solutions Architect that has been seated in the CTO or Business Development team, solutioning complex RFPs. Create your large footprint as you join a team of solutioning experts that powerfully impact the PWIN rate and posture the company for continued growth.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, engineering, or similar technical field.

  • 10+ years of experience working in a technical leadership role in the federal government contracting environment such as Health, Federal Civilian, Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of State (DOS), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of Defense (DoD), etc.

  • 5+ years of experience working as a business development Solution Architect for federal government opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Must be commutable to the DC Metro area; ability to travel to HQ for onsite meetings, client meetings, etc.

  • Must have superior written and oral communication skills, and an eagerness to write compelling narratives that thoroughly articulate approaches and value.

  • Must have expert-level technical knowledge in at least one technical domain and a strong understanding of IT systems in general.

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to operate in a team setting.

  • Must possess a strong, proactive work ethic and superior collaboration skills.

  • Must be able to contribute to multiple concurrent projects with rapidly changing requirements in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a Government security clearance.
