Job Description:

The Veterinary Service Representative provides key administrative support to and works directly with the patient care team as they provide care for a wide variety of patients. This individual will assist with coordinating scheduling, handling phone calls and emails to the team, triaging patient and client needs appropriately, and communicating with referring veterinarians and the public along with individuals across the hospital in order to coordinate care for our patients. In addition, they will assist with a variety of client service needs such as checking patients in and out of the hospital, taking deposits and payments, following up on outstanding accounts receiving needs, and ensuring proper paperwork is completed for patient visits.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment with many moving parts, can stay organized and focused while working on a variety of tasks, and is an excellent and professional communicator.

The schedule for this position is 8a-5p Monday-Friday and the individual will participate in a rotation for holiday shift coverage in addition to being considered essential personnel

Expected Salary:

$18-20/hr commensurate with experience

Minimum Requirements:

CSR I: High school diploma or equivalent and one year relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

CSR II: High school diploma or equivalent and three years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the veterinary or medical field

This is a CARE position offering limited benefits, including health insurance and paid time off. When appropriate certifications are achieved, promotional opportunities to a level II title may be available. This position will also become eligible for transition into a TEAMS (staff) salary plan.
