Duties include performing a consulting role for HR Liaisons regarding employee situations to include the implementation of discipline, best practices in employee/supervisor relations, dissemination of information regarding policies, regulations, and processes regarding the general employment of employees throughout the areas of responsibility assigned. Interprets and ensures compliance with university regulations and university policies. Provides guidance and coaching to supervisors and managers on human resource issues to include, but not limited to, performance management, employee disciplinary actions, layoffs, leave issues, and employee relations in the workplace. Creates and maintains documents associated with employment actions. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Employee Relations HSC and assists with managing a comprehensive employee relations program for faculty and staff issues.

The employee assists with studies to translate AAV gene therapy in preparation for clinical studies. They will perform animal experiments and assays, design, validate and perform antibody, neutralizing antibody and potency assays. They will perform data entry and analysis and prepare date for publication or FDA reporting. The employee must be able to work independently and anticipate the needs of the laboratory.  A Ph.D. in biological sciences or a related field is required and at least 1 years of relevant AAV assay research experience. Candidates should have significant expertise in Western blotting, immunohistochemical staining, cell culture and molecular biology (including DNA cloning, PCR and qRT-PCR), be willing to work with mice and be able to make progress on several concurrent projects.

This position is responsible for coding and billing of professional medical fees for all practitioners in the Department of Medicine, specifically the Division of Hospital Medicine.  This involves extracting billable services from the patient charts and applying appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes and then entering these services in the EPIC billing system for submission.  This position works closely with faculty, extenders, fellows and residents to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and provide education on correct coding and proper documentation to maximize reimbursement.
