Job Description

A leader in the telecommunications industry is looking to hire a Principal Embedded Software Engineer to build new capabilities for zero-touch onboarding. In this role, this person will be responsible for leading a team of 8 engineers to implement this new automation capability. The team is expecting this initiative to be rolling this out to a select few medical device clients by the end of the year, and needs someone to lead the initiative as a subject-matter-expert. This person will primarily be spending their time leading embedded and firmware development efforts for WiFi and router connectivity.

This is a 6 month contract opportunity with the possibility of extensions into 2025, and is paying $58-88/hr W2 while on contract. This is a hybrid position requiring 3x per week on-site in Englewood, CO.

Skills and Requirements

8-10 years experience in IoT or Embedded Engineering

Programming experience with C, C++, and Python

Expert level understanding with Linux

Basic knowledge of API development

Understanding of WiFi, routers, and networking Familiarity with Z-Wave, Zigbee, Matter, or Thread knowledge

Medical device background
