Amazon ADC Engineer, Containers/Servlerless in Denver, Colorado

Description

Would you like to implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve the world's most complex technical problems? Do you have a deep passion and desire to engineer and operate the world's largest cloud computing infrastructure to build a better world for future generations?

This is an exciting opportunity to use the latest cloud computing technologies to help U.S. Government agencies implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve technical problems.

AWS established a specialized group of service teams responsible for the work we are doing with the U.S. Intelligence Community. We are building some of the largest and most complex distributed systems in the world, and we need adaptable people to help us implement and operate them. You'd work with some of the best and brightest engineers in the industry, while also developing your skills and furthering your career within one of the most innovative and progressive technology companies anywhere.

Serverless is one of the fastest growing teams within AWS and we are looking for technical leaders who share our passion to change the way the world computes. Serverless in Denver builds and supports fully managed services, such as ECS, ECR, EKS, Fargate, and Cloud Map. Our customers are able to build scalable, fault-tolerant containerized production systems without thinking about the needed infrastructure, capacity management, or large scaling events. Many of the hard problems of distributed systems are abstracted away by our Serverless services, so that our customers can focus on solving their business problems.

The Serverless team is growing rapidly and we are looking for talented engineers who can help us create the massive scale and powerful new programming paradigms that our customers need to be successful.

The AWS Serverless team is seeking highly motivated engineers who are focused on operational excellence and troubleshooting complex system operations, have a good understanding of Linux, networking and general knowledge of cloud services. We need engineers who understand how to think big, and simplify solutions to complex problems; all the while ensuring that our customers continue to have the best experience possible.

In this role, you are able to take a defined set of tasks and execute it on schedule. You identify ineffective processes. You may identify when technical implementations have defects or are not highly available, performant, or maintainable. You understand operational risk and avoid taking unnecessary risks. You identify operational concerns and resolve, mitigate, or escalate the concerns in a timely manner.

This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.
