As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of food and other aspects of kitchen operation at Camp Knutson. This includes: Food preparation including but not limited to prepare, pan and cook food as directed, set up salad bar, and restocking supplies. Assist with dietary needs of guests with special diets. Clean up following meal will include properly storing and labeling all food. Cleaning dishes and kitchen includes but not limited to cleaning flat surfaces after every meal, pots, pans and food dishes, removal of garbage and sweep and mop the floors. Minimum Requirements: Serve Safe Certificate or ability to obtain. Ability to relate to youth and adults in a positive manner. Understand and utilize Food Safety skills. Be able to mark / label foods properly. Ability to follow recipes, use measurement tools when appropriate. Utilize good problem solving and customer service skills. Demonstrate knowledge and skill in assigned job duties under training, guidance, supervision of Food Service Managers and other Camp Leadership.
