Organizational Overview

SS&C ALPS is a leading Registered Fund Services provider in the financial services industry. Founded in 1985, Denver-based SS&C ALPS, with offices in Boston, Dallas, Miami, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, and Toronto also delivers asset management and asset servicing solutions through ALPS Advisors, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of SS&C Technologies, Inc.

Role Overview

ALPS Alternative Investment Services is seeking Fund Accountants to join our rapidly growing private equity practice. This practice group provides fund administration services, such as fund start-up and accounting and reporting services, to private equity fund clients.


  • Mentor/lead a small team of fund accountants.

  • Coordinate and review the end-to-end process of fund accounting, including booking fund transactions, position and cash reconciliations, month end valuations, corporate action processing, and production of periodic financial and investor statements.

  • Financial statement preparation and review which includes: the statement of assets and liabilities, schedule of net asset value per share, statement of operations, statement of changes in shareholders’ equity, and the statement of cash flows.

  • Ensure security types are accounted for correctly, including private investments, equities, fixed income, options, futures, fund of funds and many other derivative investments.

  • Assist Fund Accountant Supervisor with administrative and operational duties.


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience.

  • 3-5 years of experience in any of the following; financial services, investment management, fund administration or accounting.

  • Must have previous experience with a private equity fund or as an administrator or auditor to private equity funds.

  • Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Excel.

  • Previous experience in leadership role a plus.

  • Working knowledge of Bloomberg, and Advent Geneva or Advent Partner, a plus

  • Strong organizational and analytical skill, with the ability to effectively summarize findings, both verbally and in writing.
