Responsibilities

• Reconcile cash activity within custodial bank accounts including both domestic and international accounts

• Manage email communications from fund managers and maintain fund documents used in quarterly valuation and close process

• Review quarterly fund financials, investor statements, and expense memos prepared by third-party administrator

• Verify management and incentive fee calculations and prepare capital contribution and distribution notices

• Understand new deals and ensure proper accounting treatment

• Support quarterly valuation process and analyze changes in market values from prior periods

• Prepare financial schedules and footnotes to support annual audit and tax compliance needs

• Assist with analysis of performance and quarterly reporting to fund investors

• Ad hoc requests and reporting

  Requirements

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

• 2-5 years of experience within financial services or investment management industry

• Highly motivated, self-starter and analytical thinker with ability to take ownership, multitask and meet multiple deadlines without sacrificing quality of work

• Strong communication skills, both oral and written; Takes initiative to ask questions

• Detail-oriented, organized, proactively seeks new learning opportunities

• Team player who is comfortable working at a smaller organization

• Eagerness to make an immediate impact to the firm’s success

• CPA is a plus
