Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Buffalo. This role primarily involves providing accounting and financial management assistance, client billing, compliance reporting, and accounts payable. The Staff Accountant will also support team development and firm growth, as well as participate as part of an integrated, coordinated administrative team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide accounting and financial management assistance under the delegation of the CFO and firm leadership

• Handle client billing and manage consultant invoices

• Assist in the preparation and issuance of client invoices and statements

• Manage vendor payments and account management

• Support the preparation of financial reports and filings

• Conduct special studies and financial analyses

• Assist with client contract required compliance reporting

• Enforce timely completion of employee timesheets and expense reports, reviewing for completeness and general accuracy

• Provide coverage and backup support to administrative team members as needed

• Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Month End Close

Requirements • Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Demonstrated ability to perform Bank Reconciliations

• Experience with General Ledger management

• Skilled in creating and maintaining Journal Entries

• Ability to manage Month End Close procedures

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to continuously improve and learn new skills.
