Together, we provide high quality care to diverse individuals and families, regardless of ability to pay. Responsibilities: Maintains nursing staff by participating in recruiting, selecting, orienting and training nursing personnel for site. Reviews and ensures nursing supervisors complete training schedule for new nursing employees for siteMaintains nursing accountability through education, coaching, counseling and disciplining employeesMust be able to recognize the need for and provide conflict resolution and problem solvingWorks in collaboration with provider scheduler to ensures timely distribution of nursing schedules occur with updates completed as necessaryDevelop and maintain relationships with providers to advocate for the needs of both the providers and nursing teamsWork within nursing staffing on training opportunities to support patient advocacy and understanding/resolve clinical issuesWith the support of the Chief Clinical Officer, Director of Nursing, Medical Director and Chief Executive Director creates and will hold staff accountable for the highest level of consistency possible within the nursing department and all clinical matters at the site levelAssures review of nursing guidelines, policies and procedures by nursing staff in collaboration with Director of NursingEnsures compliance of infection control and OSHA policies and procedures in collaboration with the Director of NursingReviews site audits of CLIA labs, Medication rooms, Autoclave, Clean and Soiled utility room from nursing SupervisorsManages all issues related to medical supplies including but not limited to vaccinations including purchasing, appropriate charging for services, handling, storage, training on proper technique, etc.Assures all nursing staff are cross trained in more than 1 (one) department to support the needs of various departmentsMaintains skills as Allscripts EHR and PM super user, Azara, Phreesia and HealthelinkSchedule and assign nursing staff for a smooth start and end of day. Assures proper scheduling is in place within the clinical area by reviewing staffing to providers per session. Proficiency in reading and interpreting 3rd next available appointment report with ability to communicate to the team recommendations and trendsAssures nursing and clinical staff understand and abide by patient scheduling protocols including expertise in open-access schedulingCoordinates clinical and non-clinical staff activities to create a high quality, efficient, compassionate experience for every patientMaintains and reports monthly on: department/organizational goals & meaningful nursing metrics. Completes 30/60/90 day reviews within the outlined timeframe for nursing supervisorsSupervises and assists in the development of staff through daily feedback and timely completion of performance appraisalsDevelops and provides a monthly nursing report to the Director of Nursing and Chief Clinical OfficerWorks collaboratively on Clinical Quality Assurance activities and assists the Director of Nursing, Chief Clinical Officer and Medical Directors in QA Committee workContributes to agency effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed, providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations, recommending options and courses of action and implementing directivesAssists in development of annual budgets for nursing and non-clinical departmentsMust be able to maintain good working relationships with staff and medical personnelAttends in-services and trainings or other required meetings to enhance professional growth and development through education programsOther duties as assignedRequirements:Must possess, minimally, a BS in nursing; Masters preferred     Must hold a current New York State licenses as a registered nurseMust maintain a current basic life support certificationMinimal of 3 years clinical/nursing management/supervision experience; physician office/practice preferredMust have excellent written and verbal communication skillsMust be able to read, write and speak the English language.  A second language of Spanish preferredSalary:  $72,800 - $99,760 - based on a full-time, 40 hour work week.  Individual compensation is based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other position related components.RN Tuition Reimbursement PotentialOur FQHC status provides a unique opportunity for tuition reimbursement for registered nurses, up to 60% repayment of qualified student loans directly related to a nursing degree.  This tuition reimbursement program requires application and is not guaranteed.
