Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Be responsible for defining, developing, and evolving automation tests in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure

• Work with different Stakeholders to understand product requirements & vision

• Translate requirements / vision into prioritized list of user stories and deliver to required timelines and quality standards

• Work with product line leaders and architects to develop extensible automation frameworks and test suites

• Drive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse

• Support process improvements which guide the development, testing, sustaining & support activities

• Work cross functionally with other business departments to align activities and deliverables

• Drive world-class quality in the development and support of products

• Engage subject matter experts in successful transfer of complex domain knowledge

• Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques

• Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project

• Proactively share information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness

Experience and Skillset:

• Automation Test Engineer with 7-9 years of hands-on experience in test automation of front-end, back-end services and API automation (BDD, Jbehave, Cucumber, Java, RESTAssured, Selenium, Serenity)

• Experience of Web UI Automation using Java in Selenium.

• Experience to BDD/ TDD practices

• Working knowledge in configuration management and defect management tools (ALM/Rally)

• Prepare test execution plans, requirement trackers, etc. and own V&V phases and adherence to Software quality, defect metrics and code quality.

• Solid understanding of agile development model and processes.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work independently with limited or no hand holding.

• Ability to work with global teams, including time-zone flexibility.

• Solid understanding of CI/CD/CT pipelines

• Excellent knowledge with development tools & integrated build systems(Like Eclipse IDE, Git/Jenkins/Maven)

• Knowledge of testing applications/automation on cloud is an added advantage

• AWS Cloud certification.

Education Qualification

For roles outside USA:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with advanced experience.

Desired Characteristics :

• Experience with Windows and Unix / Linux based programming

• Experience working on software projects in the Healthcare domain.
