AboutYou Our ideal candidate has successfully worked on stormwater drainage design for local state agencies, WSDOT, and/or Sound Transit projects. In addition, proactive communication, excellent verbal and writing skills, organization, and problem-solving ability are essential to this position. We're looking for someone with: A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Washington State Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or PE license, or ability to obtain the PE license within 6 months. 3+ years of experience in the design and implementation of civil design projects focused on stormwater, drainage, and/or surface water. Experience working on PS&Eproject delivery. Hydraulic and hydrologic modelingexperience using MGSFlood, WWHM, SWMM, HY-8, etc. Experience working with CADD software, for example: ArcGIS, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation, InRoads, OpenRoads, etc. Knowledge and understanding of rules and regulations that inform stormwater design. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and technical report-writing skills Ability to work independently and manage design tasks. To thrive in this position, you may also have these qualifications: Experience and knowledge of WSDOT or Sound Transit design standards and direct highway drainage experience. Familiarity with developing Temporary Erosion and Sediment Control Plans and Construction Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans. Active participation in industry organizations such as APWA, ASCE, WTS, etc. About the Position In this role,you'llwork with a collaborative team of engineers and civil technicians to: Prepare stormwater/drainage plans, calculations, reports, exhibits, and other deliverables. Create hydrologic and hydraulic models that aid in the design of stormwater conveyance, treatment, and flow control facilities. Perform fieldwork, data collection and analysis, and documentation for stormwater projects. Assist in the development of plans, specifications, and engineers' estimates. Assist in the development of concept-level design and estimate. Provide design solutions for projects within budget and time schedules, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, and client and Osborn Consulting standards. Provide support to the Project Manager for the coordination and development of all project deliverables, QA/QC documentation, internal coordination, and task management.
