BYTEDANCE INC. Cloud Networking Software Engineer (Multiple Positions) in Bellevue, Washington
Responsibilities
- Assist the team in developing cloud networking technologies, including writing code to execute the requirements for new virtual networking functionalities involved in the IaaS (infrastructure as a service) cloud.
- Incorporate latest technologies in the domain of computer networking to help improve the scale of cloud networking.
- Use cloud networking to improve the current implementation of the virtual network.
- Design and implement cloud networking gateways.
- Work with different network packets encapsulation/decapsulation scheme that are required for the network virtualization.
- Research into how the latest innovation in network switches can improve the networking gateways.
Present proof of concept for networking switches.
Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.
Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:
- Utilizing basic network protocols TCP/IP, BGP, and OSPF and security protocols IPSec, PKI, NAT, MPLS, and GRE to design the network topology;
- Utilizing networking tools ping, netstat, tcpdump, ifconfig, route, and traceroute to troubleshoot network issues;
- Debugging and troubleshooting in network, setting up test bed and test feature, and resolving network issues;
Programing using SQL, Python, and Java; and Maintaining and debugging software services.
Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in using layer2 parse and layer3 parse to support packet processing and improving the performance in the high-end platform using DPDK.
