We are part of Edge & Platform organization delivering Azure to Customer in their premises. Azure Stack HCI, IoT, and multiple other edge-computing products, services are part of our offerings. Our team is innovating new technologies for managing Edge Devices from Azure in a safe, secure, reliable, and scalable model for our global customers across various Azure Geographies. We pride ourselves in developing technologies which enhance customer experience that enable running machine learning models close to the data source, using edge computing to address customer workload needs, and managing edge device in Azure. We build eco systems which brings in Intelligence to locations where customer is running their business.

As a Senior Software Engineer Manager in the Edge Platform team, you will lead a team for a variety of Edge Computing products and platforms. You will be responsible for bringing in the latest Azure offering in Customer's Edge locations, working with some of the greatest products and minds. As part of this team, you will have an opportunity build and lead a team of excellent engineers to work on the latest of the Edge Offerings. You will model, coach and care for the team and enable them to achieve their best. You will define the roadmap, and charters for Edge Platform. The team is supportive of flexible work, and candidates may work from home up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Developing Cloud Services or Restful services, or Distributed systems

• Able to analyze and clearly articulate complex issues and technologies

• Help to foster innovations, drive investigation across teams. Engage with partners and facilitate cross team collaboration

• Manage, Mentor and Coach a team of highly capable, diverse software engineers to achieve their best

• Drive for quality across the team, mentor and guide others to keep the bar high

• Provide strong technical leadership, push the technical bar for scalability and quality, maintain data and results-driven culture

• Drive long-term architecture and development for highly scalable services with quality, performance, and maintainability as core tenets

• Drive Collaboration across teams to deliver high quality solutions from concept to release and live operations

• Support the broader product group in product and feature development, as well as live-site operations

Qualifications

Required qualifications :

• 7+ years of experience in Software Development

• 2+ years of experience designing, developing, deploying, and monitoring cloud services/RESTful service/Distributed system in a must

• A strong Computer Science background with solid C#, Java, C/C++ programming, debugging skills is highly desired

• Great design and problem-solving skills, with a strong bias for architecting for performance, scalability, security, and reliability

• Bachelor’s/master's degree or equivalent in Computer science or related field required

• An entrepreneurial spirit with a can-do attitude – a self-starter, project finisher and adaptive, collaborative

Preferred Qualifications :

• Able to analyze and clearly articulate complex issues and technologies

• Excellent technical design, problem solving and debugging skills, proven track record in shipping software on time, with high quality 

• Proven track record in leading development teams and the ability to grow talented SDEs 

• Great team player and communicator, strong believer in collaboration and teamwork 

• Experience and success in working with ambiguity and taking risks 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, AWS or similar cloud computing platforms is preferred. 

• Experience in Kubernetes and associated technologies is preferred

• Any experience to LLM will be preferred
