FirstService Residential Park and Recreation Manager in Ave Maria, Florida

Job Overview:Â Â

As a Parks and Recreation Manager,you’llbe responsible formanaging and overseeing the maintenance and activities in thecommunities'parks and fitness center.Â

Â

Your Responsibilities:Â Â

  • Toschedule, planand overseespecial eventsin the parks;ÂÂ
  • Oversees the maintenance of the park amenities toinclude:bocce courts, tennis courts,pickelballcourts, softball fields, soccer fields, dog park, basketball courts, disc golf, children’s playground, concession stands, pavilions and amphitheater.ÂÂ
  • Oversees the maintenance and equipment in the fitness center;Â
  • Coordinates sports activities vendors to include proper insurance and contracts;Â
  • Schedules all sporting events reservations in the parks;Â
  • Schedules all private party events in the parks;Â
  • Keep and updatefrequentlythe community’s parks calendar;Â
  • Updates policies and procedures in the parks and fitness center;Â
  • Creates and oversees marketing for all park and fitness center activities to include producing flyers, brochures and keeping social media sitesup-to-dateon all upcoming events.Â
  • Assist Lifestyle Director and Water Park Manager with their activities upon request;Â

  • Advanced written communication skills.Â
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.Â
  • Canva or other marketing computer programs.Â
  • Knowledge of basic accounting/budgeting procedures.Â
  • Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to coordinate the work of others.Â
  • Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare andsubmitreports in acceptable formats andin a timely mannerÂ
  • Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple programs and assignments effectively.Â
  • Ability to work on complex and confidential tasksutilizingjudgment, tact, and resourcefulness.Â
  • Skill in developing andmaintaininggood working relationships.Â
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, judgement and decision-making abilities are necessary.ÂÂ
  • Proficiencyin computer programs like Microsoft Office, Outlook and Windowsrequired.ÂÂ
  • Ability to work with sensitive and/or confidential information.ÂÂ

Compensation: $70000 - 75000Â
