ManTech International’s Digital Transformation Division (DTD) Financial Management practice (FM) has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development (BD) Director to support the Department of Defense (DoD) BD team. The Financial Management BD Director is a senior individual contributor responsible for creating a multi-year FM Practice Business development plan, identifying those opportunities, and seeing through to award. ManTech’s Digital Transformation Division delivers digital transformation solution and consulting services to the DoD, Federal Civilian, and IC communities. We deliver our solutions in an Agile approach that focuses on measurable return on investments. Our solutions integrate subject matter and domain expertise with market leading technology platforms and formal delivery models refined over multiple successful implementations and informed by best practices. Our Financial Management practice is an established provider of FM solutions and a market leader in the use of corporate performance management platforms in the federal market space. Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 10 or more years of relevant experience.

This is a HYBRID position located in Northern, VA.

Roles and Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

  • Our Department of Defense (DoD) and Federal Government Financial Management (FM) Business Development manager will identify, pursue and close new business opportunities in support of the FM practices’ business development (BD) objectives

  • Produces new account revenue in line with current organization and individual targets/quotas. Develops departmental plans, including business, production and/or organizational priorities. Decision-making is guided by department/district objectives.

  • Requires a comprehensive understanding of internal and industry standards and principles, a grasp of financial management concepts and issues, and has had experience leading BD efforts in the federal markets space

  • The selected candidate will work with ManTech’s Digital Transformation Division team members to support program strategies, account/business (practice) plans, conduct program reviews and customer assessments, and build and maintain relationships with external and internal customers;

  • External customers include, but are not limited to, DoD and Federal Government Chief Financial Officers (CFO), Budget Directors, Financial Systems Directors, and Accounting/Audit Directors;

  • Support all phases of customer relationships, business development, and proposals with emphasis on identification, qualification, and capture phases;

  • Identify and qualify prospective teaming partners;

  • Develop and give presentations to prospective clients and internal executives.

  • Provide billable support to key projects and engagements

Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • A minimum 10 years of business development experience focused on DoD and/or Federal CFO customers

  • Must have excellent communications and presentation skills. Ability to work proficiently with MS Office and CRM

  • Strong knowledge of Federal Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE), financial reporting processes, financial management data and analytics

  • Proven ability to meet goals and deadlines and develop strong account plans

  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills

  • Strong social skills – excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working with or supporting DoD or Federal agencies’ PPBE or financial statements, close/consolidation, or systems

  • Experience and comfort interfacing at all organization levels, to include executive/CEO and senior Federal SES leaders

  • Current, Active US security clearance

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • An active Top Secret clearance.
