The Data Governance and Steward position is a high-performing role in support of data management functions for a particular domain within USIS's broader data library.

This individual will work within a team of stewards who serve as experts for the data sources, to ensure the appropriate quality, metadata management and internal and external support are in accordance with our service level commitments. Candidates should be courageous, tenacious, creative, optimistic and curious, with an appetite for growth in business-minded leadership.

This role is located in either our Atlanta or Alpharetta, Georgia and requires being in the office Tuesday - Thursday.

What you'll do Domain Expertise: Understand the lifecycle of the Equifax data sources across all stages from ingestion to production Business Transformation: Drive the support of migration activities as we move our data sources into the cloud. This will include running validation routines, comparing data results between legacy and cloud systems and working across different USIS teams to coordinate and track project deliverables Quality Monitoring: Own the development of automated, threshold-based reports that efficiently and reliably identify areas for further investigation and improvement. Act on the findings of these reports in a timely manner, prioritizing effort based on business impact. Continuous Improvement: Work with an evergreen roadmap of initiatives, powered by work in Quality Monitoring and Customer Engagement, helping to drive these projects to completion. Metadata Management: In keeping with USIS Data program standards, and in line with the service level commitments for each data source, support the maintenance of our metadata management artifacts (e.g., schemas, business rules, data dictionaries) reposed in Collibra. Governance: Deliver on the consistent application of data custodianship, data usage and other internal control processes implemented across Equifax to ensure compliance and privacy policies and standards are met. Be an ambassador for our data assets and encourage data awareness which can assist with new opportunities and points of synergy.

What experience you need 5 years of relevant experience with industry-leading lenders and/or data companies, with a working knowledge of data structure, data handling, the credit lifecycle and data management 5 years of analysis experience in credit risk, telecommunications, financial services, marketing, fraud, or insurance Strong aptitude and proven ability to develop data-driven solutions to meet business objectives 5 years of experience with data handling/quality tools and Big Data ecosystems i.e. Big Query, SQL, Google Cloud Platform 5 years of experience with data and business insights analysis which identify and drive ongoing excellence in data quality practices
